FAQs

How do I book in for a class?

Choose your class then click “book class” button. You will be transferred to mindbody. Login or create an account. Choose your payment option. Please note that our Intro Month is currently unavailable, and concession passes can only be purchased in studio. Make booking easy by downloading the Creature Yoga app. You can use your existing mindbody profile to log in.

Do you have concession for pricing?

Yes we do! We don’t sell concession passes online, but bring your student / healthcare / pensioner card in to the studio and we’ll happily sell you the concession option.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Due to government restrictions of 20 people per class, all classes must be pre-booked online.  Online booking opens 7 days prior to class. We have implemented late cancel and no show fees to ensure everyone has a chance to attend. Due to the capacity restriction, you may find it difficult to book into your preferred classes. Please consider this before purchasing a pass as we do not provide refunds if you cannot attend your class of choice. If you book into class and are unable to attend, please early-cancel at least 2 before your class is due to start. You can do so via your MINDBODY dashboard. If you fail to do so you will incur a late cancellation/no show fee (outlined below).

Late cancel and no-show policy

If you pre-book a class and fail to early cancel your booking at least 2 hours prior you will be automatically charged a $15 late cancel fee (with the exception of 10 class pass holders and drop in class bookings, who will lose a class). If you do not show up for your booked class you will be charged a $28 no-show fee. Please note bookings cannot be accepted without a credit card on file. Late cancel and no show fees are non-refundable. This is in place for all in-studio classes.

Can I rent a mat?

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are NOT hiring mats or using props. We have Mukti mats and blocks for sale in the studio.

Where are you located?

We have 2 locations in Byron. Currently only the Industrial studio is operating: Unit 6B, 11 Banksia Drive in the Byron Bay Arts and Industry Estate (just behind Allpress coffee and the Jane Fender building). Our Town Studio (currently closed) is located at: 2/142 Bangalow Road, Byron Bay, next door to the Roadhouse cafe.

Where should I park?

Please park on the street and not in the tenants’ off-street car parks. Please allow enough time to find a park. Avoid parking next to yellow lines to avoid parking fines.

Do you have bathrooms and showers?

Yes we have bathrooms. Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are not currently allowing showers.

I’ve never done yoga before can I come?

Yes, our classes cater to all levels. However, you might want to look out for Chill flow, Hatha or Yin classes if you’re looking for a softer introduction. Feel free to rest as much as you need to, and you can ask our excellent teachers any questions.

Will I get personal adjustments/assists?

Due to COVID-19 restrictions we are not currently offering hands-on assists.

Etiquette

Please leave your shoes downstairs or in your bag. We ask that you put your phone away and on silent when in the studio. Phones are not to be used during class.

When should I arrive?

Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class so you have time to settle in to the space – especially if it’s your first time with us. Please make sure to pre-book your class before coming to the studio as many classes are currently at capacity.

What temperature is the room heated to?

In summer, we leave the heaters off – Byron is warm enough! In winter we have our radiant heaters set to maintain a balmy 25 degrees to ensure you stay comfortable, even in a yin class.

Can I bring my kids?

Children over 14 years may attend at concession prices, provided they are not disruptive.
